Tim David IN, 2 Players OUT! RCB's Likely Playing XI For IPL 2025 Final

Last Updated: Tim David has missed RCB's last two IPL 2025 matches due to an injury that he suffered while playing in the 13th league match against SRH on May 23 in Lucknow. After finishing as runners-up three times in the last 17 years, Royal Challengers Bengaluru would like to end the long wait for their maiden IPL title on Tuesday (June 3) when they will take on Punjab Kings in the final of this year's edition. The summit clash of IPL 2025 is scheduled to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. RCB qualified for the IPL 2025 final by getting the better of PBKS by 8 wickets in the Qualifier 1 match played on Thursday, May 29, in Mullanpur, and Rajat Patidar's men would like to repeat the same show on Tuesday as well. For the summit clash, RCB could make a couple of changes to their playing XI. In place of England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, Australian lower middle-order batter Tim David could feature. David suffered an injury during RCB's 13th league match played against SRH in Lucknow, and since then he has been out of action. If the Singapore-born cricketer is available for selection, then he will surely replace Livingstone. Fast bowler Rasikh Salam Dar could also get a game for RCB in the final. The Narendra Modi Stadium is a very high-scoring venue, and in seven out of eight IPL matches played so far this year in Ahmedabad, the team batting first has managed to cross the 200-run mark. Keeping in mind how PBKS played against MI in the Qualifier 2 on Sunday (June 1), RCB could add some extra strength to its bowling unit by including Rasikh in place of Mayank Agarawal. Mayank, who has played for PBKS in the past and captained them as well, was signed by the Bengaluru-based franchise as an injury replacement for Devdutt Padikkal, but he has failed to impress with his batting performances in three matches played so far. Suyash has impressed with his bowling performances in this year's IPL against PBKS and RCB fans, and team management will have high expectations of a good show from him in the final as well. Impact subs: Mayank Agarawal, Rasikh Salam Dar, Mohit Rathee, Swastik Chikara, Abhinandan Singh First Published: June 02, 2025, 18:41 IST
