Shear Madness, longest-running play, debuts in Wichita Falls
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The worldwide hilarious whodunit is on its way to Wichita Falls.
'Shear Madness,' an award-winning show, will open on Friday, May 30 and run through Saturday, July 26, at the Stage 2 Dinner Theatre.
Dinner will be served.
The show has been featured in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest-running non-musical play in U.S. history.
Set in the present day inside the bustling Shear Madness hair salon, this interactive comedy 'whodunit' is packed with spontaneous, up-to-the-minute humor. When a murder is discovered, the audience becomes part of the action — spotting clues, interrogating suspects, and ultimately deciding who did it! With a different ending every night, many guests return again and again for more mayhem and mystery.
Shear Madness has earned numerous accolades, including:
'Best Comedy of the Year' — seven times by The Boston Globe
'Best Play of the Year' — by both the Chicago Sun-Times and Philadelphia Enquirer
Raven Award — from the Mystery Writers of America
Comedy Hall of Fame — the first play ever to be inducted!
