Local Fashion Label Rizman Ruzaini To Open First Boutique In Dubai & Indonesia

Malaysian fashion label Rizman Ruzaini is going global! The local designer duo recently shared new plans for their fashion brand, which includes opening their first boutiques in Dubai and Indonesia later this year! The dynamic duo, composed of Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Jamil, recently held their Raya Open House, where some of Malaysia's biggest stars were in attendance. The guest lists included the likes of singers Mimifly, Hael Husaini, Nadeera, and Diana Danielle. During the event, the two designers spoke about their brand, revealing that Rizman Ruzaini is preparing to open their first international boutiques in Dubai and Indonesia later this year. Rizman explained that the two have always dreamt of going global with their brand, saying, 'Whenever there is a chance to put our brand on the global stage, we (Rizman Ruzaini) make sure to carry the Malaysia name along.'. He added that the designer duo have been dressing local celebrities for years, so they have a bigger mission to see more international celebrities donning the brand. As part of their goal to go global, Rizman Ruzaini will open their first boutiques in Dubai and Indonesia. There is no exact opening date yet, but the designers said the boutique will open its doors this year. Dubai and Indonesia are strategic locations in the international fashion industry. The designers also said they have many fans from the Middle East, so the new boutique will help meet the demand there. Rizman Ruzaini is also no stranger to the Dubai fashion world, having launched two collections at Dubai Fashion Week. Their Spring/Summer 2024 collection runway show in 2023 even featured legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell. A few months after the show, the model would wear another custom Rizman Ruzaini piece at the Red Sea Film Festival 2023 in Jeddah. Another international star who has worn the Rizman Ruzaini label is Lady Gaga. The pop star stunned in her custom piece at her Las Vegas show in 2024. Given where they stand in the fashion world, we're sure Rizman Ruzaini can go even further with their brand – and we'll support their every move! Sources: Siakap Keli, Wilayahku, Suara Merdeka

Dominic and Aguero left out of Asean All-Stars squad

All systems go: Mohd Haziq Nadzli (right) is the only national player given the green light to join the Asean All-Stars team. PETALING JAYA: Of the three national players called up to join the Asean All-Stars for the May 28 friendly against English Premier League side Manchester United, only Perak goalkeeper Mohd Haziq Nadzli has been given the green light. The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), however, have not released defender Dominic Tan and striker Sergio Aguero as they are required to attend the Harimau Malaya's centralised training camp during that period, in preparation for the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers Group F match against Vietnam on June 10. FAM president Datuk Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub said that they have, instead, proposed the names of five other national-level players to the Asean Football Federation (AFF) as alternatives. 'The AFF did ask for three national players prepared to play (against Manchester United) but that is also the time the (Harimau Malaya) team will be preparing (for the Asian Cup Qualifiers). So, only one (name) got the nod. 'We have proposed five other names as alternatives ... players who are of international standard and who have represented the national squad before, with one of them being Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee,' he said. He told reporters this when met at the Malaysian Football League (MFL)-FAM-Amateur Football League (AFL) Raya Open House at the Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya here today. Tickets for the Asean All-Stars' friendly against the Red Devils, to be played at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, have been selling briskly, with 45,000 snapped up as of last Friday. The last time United played in Malaysia was during the 2009 pre-season tour, beating Malaysia XI twice, 3-2 and 2-0, respectively on July 18 and 20 at the National Stadium. The 13-time EPL champions are also scheduled to travel to Hong Kong as part of their pre-season tour to play against the Hong Kong national team at the Hong Kong Stadium on May 30. — Bernama

Malaysia Cup Final: 60 Pct Of Tickets Sold, Lucky Draw Set To Ramp Up Sale

PETALING JAYA, April 23 (Bernama) -- Tickets for the 2024/2025 Malaysia Cup final between Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Sri Pahang FC are selling like hotcakes, with nearly 60 per cent sold so far. Malaysian Football League (MFL) acting chief executive officer Mohd Shazli Shaik Mohd attributed the encouraging response to the final, to be played at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday (April 26), to the various announcements and promotions carried out by both teams. "It (the encouraging response) is also due to MFL's latest initiative where we introduced a lucky draw, with attractive prizes up for grabs,' he said when met at the MFL-Football Association of Malaysia (FAM)-Amateur Football League (AFL) Raya Open House at the Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya here today.
