North Charleston officers participate in RECAP walk
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Officers with the North Charleston Police Department took part in a 'Rebuilding Every Community Around Peace' walk Tuesday night.
The walk promotes security and safety within the city as officers interact with local community members to ensure the well-being of local neighborhoods.
Initially, the walk started as a way to prevent gun violence, but the department revamped the event to include areas with all kinds of crime, according to Lt. Tireka Wright with the department.
RECAP members are committed to making North Charleston safer and more secure.
