Soléne Pilates in East Longmeadow celebrates grand opening

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – A grand opening celebration is being held for a new Pilates studio in East Longmeadow on Saturday. Soléne Pilates was founded by Miaya Dreanee and says that it's the first Latina woman-owned pilates studio in western Massachusetts. Miaya told 22News that she was diagnosed with endometriosis, a disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. She turned to holistic methods, including Pilates, that helped transform her life. Local foster kids to get new beds through 'Red Day Project'

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Local foster children will be getting new beds soon. Keller Williams Pioneer Valley held their annual 'Red Day Project' Thursday morning. Every year, they use the opportunity to close all their offices worldwide and dedicate their time to giving back. This year, they teamed up with the 'Build a Bed Project.' Employees and volunteers put together and painted twin beds that will be donated to foster children. 'Every child deserves to sleep and get a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed are things we take for granted, so we're excited to be able to do this,' says realtor Anna Rowe. Several of Keller William's clients helped by donating bed sheets and supplies to build the beds.
