Cloudflare Launches New Tools to Simplify AI Agent Development
Cloudflare Launches New Tools to Simplify AI Agent Development Cloudflare, Inc., the connectivity cloud company, has introduced new capabilities to help developers build and deploy AI agents faster and more efficiently. The update includes the industry's first remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, general availability of Workflows, and a free tier for Durable Objects. These offerings aim to reduce the time and complexity involved in creating AI agents. Developers can now build AI systems in minutes instead of months. The tools are designed to support scalability, maintain affordability, and offer global reach. AI agents are systems that act autonomously, make decisions, and adapt over time. However, building them requires access to reasoning models, execution workflows, and APIs. Cloudflare addresses all three through its developer platform. According to Matthew Prince, co-founder and CEO of Cloudflare, 'Cloudflare is the best place to build and scale AI agents.' He added that the company's global network and serverless platform provide developers with the speed and flexibility needed to innovate. With the new MCP server, AI agents can now complete real tasks, like sending emails or updating code, over the Internet. Previously, MCP was limited to local environments. Cloudflare now allows developers to run MCP servers in the cloud with secure connections. Integration with Auth0, Stytch, and WorkOS simplifies authentication and authorization. Cloudflare has also expanded access to Durable Objects by offering them on its free tier. Durable Objects allow developers to build stateful applications that retain context across interactions. This is essential for agents that need memory or history to function intelligently. Cloudflare's network ensures low-latency and high scalability. Additionally, Workflows is now generally available. It enables developers to build multi-step applications that persist over time. AI agents can now perform complex actions like booking a trip or processing payments with reliable execution. Cloudflare's serverless infrastructure also helps reduce costs. Unlike traditional providers, Cloudflare automatically scales resources up or down based on usage. This means organizations only pay for what they use, making AI deployment more cost-efficient. Kate Holterhoff, senior analyst at RedMonk, noted, 'Cloudflare offers a developer-friendly ecosystem for creating AI agents that includes a free tier for Durable Objects and serverless options for AI inference.' Cloudflare has GPUs in more than 190 cities, allowing low-latency AI inference close to users. This global presence supports real-time performance and efficient scalability.

Dynatrace Announces Observability For Developers
Dynatrace has announced Observability for Developers, a comprehensive set of solutions that empower the developer community with runtime insights and troubleshooting capabilities, accelerating the industry's 'shift-left' movement. As modern cloud-native environments grow increasingly complex, observability solutions have become critical for developers. With systems becoming more distributed and dynamic, development teams require real-time insights into application performance, infrastructure health, and user experiences to maintain reliability while building innovation. To address these challenges, Dynatrace now provides cloud-native application development teams with a powerful suite of differentiated capabilities, including: Easy Data Access and Exploration: Intuitive dashboarding and advanced log, metrics, and trace analytics enabled by the powerful Dynatrace AI engine, Davis® AI, makes it easy to track and optimize application performance, monitor health, analyze end-user interactions, view historical data, and provides forecasting, all in one place. Introducing Live Production Debugging to Enhance AI-powered Troubleshooting : As an extension of its AI-powered troubleshooting and debugging capabilities, including automatic root cause analysis, Dynatrace introduces Live Debugger . This new app enables developers to access real-time insights from runtime environments without requiring issue reproduction or redeployments. Developers can also extract debugging information without performance impact, and leverage contextual insights for rapid problem resolution. Enterprise Adoption with Self-service: To facilitate enterprise adoption while minimizing tool sprawl and data silos, Dynatrace enables observability teams and platform engineers to seamlessly implement a self-service model for developers. Tailored entry points and integrations with developer portals and integrated development environments (IDEs) unlock easy access to all developer productivity functionalities – including enriched OpenTelemetry logs, metrics, and traces for debugging with deep context – while maintaining a curated and compliant approach. In addition, a new pricing model will be introduced as part of the Observability for Developers solution so development teams can focus on building innovation without the fear of overages. 'As organizations increasingly recognize observability as critical to their IT operations, we are also seeing awareness of the necessity of observability earlier in the SDLC,' says KellyAnn Fitzpatrick, Senior Analyst at RedMonk. 'With its Observability for Developers solution, Dynatrace is expanding its observability capabilities to offer developer-focused tooling designed to meet this need.' 'Observability for Developers represents our commitment to empowering development teams with intelligent, context-aware solutions that allow them to innovate with speed and confidence,' said Bernd Greifeneder, CTO and Founder at Dynatrace. 'We're giving developers the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and optimize their applications with ease and precision. On top of this, we drive effective collaboration through AI-powered insights and automation to maximize productivity while providing leadership with improved evidence that their IT practices are safe, compliant, and adhere to company standards.' The Live Debugger is currently in private preview and is expected to be available as part of the Dynatrace Observability for Developers solution in the next 90 days. 0 0
