Route 13 fire continues to impact Takini School
SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) – The large wildfire, named the Route 13 fire, burning near the Takini School on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation is quote 'under control'.
The latest update says it is 50% contained.
Fire danger, severe weather and snow all possible the next 48 hours
While firefighters work to put an end to the blaze, staff at the Takini School are distributing lunches to students.
The food will be given to kids from Takini community, Bridger, Cherry Creek, Red Scaffold and Eagle Butte.
Class was cancelled again Thursday to allow the school to air out.
