Lewis Capaldi's most memorable moments as star set to make huge comeback at Glastonbury

The Scots singer is rumoured to be taking part in a surprise Glastonbury set tonight so we take a look back on his most memorable appearances. Rumours have been swirling that Lewis Capaldi is set to play a surprise set tonight at Glastonbury which has got so many fans excited. The Scots singer has been taking a break from performing and writing since his last appearance at the festival. His Glastonbury 2023 performance saw him visibly struggling with his Tourette's Syndrome to the point fans had to finish his songs for him. After his set, the 28-year-old announced a break from music and cancelled all of his upcoming gigs to focus on his mental and physical health. ‌ Lewis is now rumoured to be making a major return to the Pyramid Stage today at 4.45pm and what better way to do it then to return to give the Glastonbury performance of his dreams that he sadly couldn't manage last time. ‌ We take a look back at his most memorable moments in the past that really put a smile on our faces... Mocking Noel Gallagher It all began in 2019 when Noel was being interviewed on Radio X and went on an expletive-filled rant about the state of modern music. During the interview he asked: "Who is this Capaldi fella? Who the f**k is that idiot?" Scottish radio show host Gordon Smart, from Edinburgh, comes to the Someone You Loved star's defence, telling Noel: "I'm going to stand up for him, I think he's funny as f**k. He's a good lad - you'd like him as well." Noel then controversially accused the host of only sticking up for the singer "because you're Scottish." ‌ He then goes on to say: "You f****n' Scottish. If they found out Hitler was Scottish they'd go 'aw the wee man was just a wee bit misunderstood'.' The feud between the pair then went on social media before Lewis took to the stage at Glastonbury Festival. ‌ Wearing a parka, bucket hat and stylish sunglasses, he swaggered onto the stage poking fun at Noel Gallagher to the sound of "here comes the money". He used the sound to Noel's 'who is this Capaldi fella' interview before strolling around stage dressed as Gallagher himself then stripping down to reveal a T-shirt with his face in a love heart, before launching into his much-anticipated Other Stage set with his hit Grace. ‌ And just hours after mocking Noel in front of thousands, Capaldi was pictured posing with Liam backstage. Buckfast moment At the 2020 BRIT Awards, Lewis scooped Best New Artist, the night's first award and left fans in stitches. Hilarious video footage shows the then 23-year-old sauntering up to the stage at London's O2 Arena to accept the gong with a bottle of Red Stripe beer in hand. After embracing BBC Radio 1 DJ, Clara Amfo and music industry pal Niall Horan, a dumbstruck Lewis pointed out to droves of cheering fans before having another gulp of beer. ‌ Lewis's chart-topper Someone You Loved then won Song of the Year and this time he took to the stage drinking from a bottle of Buckfast. This time his acceptance speech wasn't muted and he said: "Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people think this song is about my ex-girlfriend who you can now see every night on Love Island. ‌ "It was actually about my grandmother who has sadly passed away a few years ago. I hope to God that ITV don't contact her to be on a reality dating TV show." He added: "Thank you so much, this has been the best year of my life. Thanks to my mum and dad for, I don't know, making love, and thanks to my grandmother for eh, dying? I'll see you later." Chewbacca One month after his 2019 Glastonbury entrance which saw him take a swipe at Noel Gallagher, Lewis hilariously trolled Noel again by swaggering onto the stage at TRNSMT dressed as Chewbacca. ‌ In a second legendary festival entrance, the Bathgate singer used his slot to mock the Oasis star after he branded Capaldi "'f****** Chewbacca' and told him to 'enjoy his 15 minutes'. He strutted onto the stage draped in a Scotland flag wearing the Star Wars mask. ‌ In an explicit rant to Variety magazine, Noel said: " 'F****** Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes. The greatest day of his life that I slagged him off or called him an idiot. 'It's the greatest day of his f***** life so far. He's just thinking, 'Wow!' Well, I know you're Scottish and all that, but f***** hell! It is like a third world country, but for f***'s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely!' Scottish Beyonce When he released his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent in 2019, Lewis' billboard got everyone talking. ‌ The picture of the billboard, posted on his Instagram, features a picture of Lewis with a bath towel on his head while he wears red glasses and gives the peace sign. There is also a quote from Capaldi where brands himself the Scottish Beyonce. The quote says: "The Scottish Beyonce on a London Underground billboard. Finally famous." ‌ THAT tracksuit video One of our favourite Lewis Capaldi moments of all time is the video he shared in his new designer tracksuit Lewis explained on his Instagram that he was given the tracksuit at a recent video shoot and couldn't wait to get home and try it on. ‌ He then films himself in a mirror telling his fans how much he loves the 80s-style shell suit. The singer said: 'Spoiler alert: It looks f******* amazing. Send my regards to your genitals. I mean, I look f****** hard as f****** nails'. He adds that the teal, navy and white trackie flatters his midriff as he sticks his stomach out before telling fans what he plans to do with his newfound confidence. ‌ Lewis said he would step into the pub and go 'Hello ladies! Do you like pop music, do you? Do you like pop music?' He hilariously acts out a scene at a pub where he is noticed by a group of women before approaching them and asking: 'Ladies! How ye doin'? Can I buy you a drink please?'
