Dubai Opens Registration for Global Self-Driving Transport Congress
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially opened registration for the fourth edition of the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport, scheduled for 24–25 September 2025.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event aims to advance the emirate's vision of redefining urban mobility through autonomous technology.
Themed Redefining Mobility: The Path to Autonomy , the congress will spotlight Dubai's ambitious goal of transitioning 25% of its transportation to autonomous systems by 2030. Organised by the RTA, the event is expected to draw a global audience of industry leaders, government officials, and technology innovators.
Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the Public Transport Agency and Chair of the Organising Committee, said the congress has become a key global platform for showcasing breakthroughs in self-driving technology. 'Thanks to the tremendous success of the previous editions, the event continues to attract major international players and experts in the field,'
he noted.
This year's congress will also feature the announcement of the winner of the Dubai World Challenge for Self-Driving Transport 2024. The top-performing consortium will be awarded $3 million for presenting the most innovative integrated autonomous mobility solution.
Participants in the challenge include both solo entities and consortiums, each aiming to unify various autonomous transport systems under one seamless service model.
The congress reinforces Dubai's position as a global leader in smart mobility.
