Houston Co. elementary school wins big at state competition
REHOBETH, Ala. (WDHN) — Rehobeth Elementary's BETA Club is celebrating its recent success at the Alabama Junior Beta State Convention, which saw them win over 40 competitions.
The Rehobeth Elementary Beta Club took 55 students in grades 4-6 to participate in 62 event competitions.
In those competitions, students won 40 Top 5 awards, which included 12 state champion awards, and nine Premiere Performers Golden Tickets.
Rehobeth Elementary Beta also has the current National Beta Elementary Leadership Ambassador and Regional Leadership Representative, who both had an opportunity to speak at the convention.
National Beta State Convention allows students the opportunity to compete in various individualand team competitions and opportunities to run for several leadership positions.
These victories at the state level provide each student an opportunity to compete at the national level. The National Convention will be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida during Summer 2025.
