‘Bag pack kijiye aur chale jaiye': Why Rajkummar Rao fired their chef, a reason that proves he's an ideal husband
Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are among the most loved couples of Bollywood. The couple was in a relationship for a very long time before eventually getting married in 2021. Most recently, the Stree 2 actor recalled how he once fired their chef after he was being disrespectful to his wife, Patralekhaa. In a recent appearance on Raunaq Rajani's show, RelashionShit Advice, the comedian discussed how his chef doesn't regard his wife much. However, he didn't have the courage to fire him. In response to this, Rajkummar Rao grabbed the opportunity to share his totally opposite reaction on how he dealt with such a thing in his case. He alerted the audience, stating, "I'll tell you an example from our house, and guys, see the difference.' He shared that they had a great cook who must have been 48. The actor emphasized the dilemma, highlighting that it was the first time he had gotten a chef who was cooking Mexican vegetarian food instead of some normal 'hari sabzi and rice.' Rajkummar continued by further recalling his chef making a great Mexican platter for him. However, when his wife Patralekhaa informed him about their chef's disrespectful behavior towards him, the actor ended up firing him. He shared, "After two days, Patra told me, 'Listen, this guy doesn't talk to me nicely. I think there's some issue'. And I could figure out. On the third day, when Patra asked him something, he made some face. But with me, he'd talk with a lot of respect. You know what I did? I called him and said, 'Aapka bag pack kijiye aur na aap chale jaiye' (pack your bags and leave).' This story was met with a huge cheer and applause from the audience present in the room. Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa dated each other for over a decade and got married on November 15, 2021. On the professional front, Rao is currently enjoying the release of comedy family drama, Bhool Chuk Maaf, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi, which was released in the theaters today, i.e. May 23, 2025. He will be next seen in the action entertainer Maalik, which will be gracing the silver screens on July 11, 2025.

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha are one one of the cutest couple in the B-town. In a recent show, comedian Raunaq Rajani invited Rajkummar along with comedians Abish Mathew and Urooj Ashfaq to discuss relationship advice. The conversation went on to discussing home cooks and Rajkummar had an interesting story to share. He listens to only the male in the house and looks through his wife, but they haven't fired him because he is a good cook. Rajkummar jumped into the conversation and gave an example where he and wife Patralekha were facing a similar situation. 'I'll tell you an example from our house, and guys, see the difference. We had a cook, he must've been around 48. A great cook! For the first time in my life, I was getting some great Mexican vegetarian food. Otherwise it would just be some hari sabzi and rice (with his earlier cook),' Rajkummar said. Rajkummar further said, "He made a great Mexican platter for me, and after two days, Patra told me, 'Listen, this guy doesn't talk nicely to me. I think there's some issue'. And I could figure out. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa. Here's to forever .. and beyond'. They have worked together on various projects, including the highly acclaimed film Citylights and the web series Bose: Dead/Alive. Rajkummar is busy promoting his latest Bhool Chuk Maaf, also starring Wamiqa Gabbi. The film is now running in theaters.
