Biometric verification now required for all new SRD grant applications
Starting 7 June, anyone applying for the Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant must complete biometric verification as part of the application process.
This new step applies to all new applications and is part of Sassa's efforts to combat fraud within the system.
To make your application smoother, ensure you have your smart ID card ready before starting the process.
