Nasi kandar restaurant fined for illegal dumping in Klang
THE operator of a popular nasi kandar restaurant in Shah Alam was fined RM1,000 for indiscriminately dumping sacks of coconut shells and kitchen waste in Bukit Raja, Klang on June 20. Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) deputy mayor Mohd Zary Affendi Mohd Arif ( pic ) said a patrol team from the council's Enforcement Department caught two men in a 4WD vehicle dumping several sacks from its open cargo bed onto the roadside along Lengkuk Keluli 2, Bukit Raja industrial area in Klang. Mohd Zary said initial investigations showed that the vehicle had travelled about 5.5Km from the restaurant to reach the dumping spot at 5am last Friday (June 20). He said that according to the patrol team, the 4WD vehicle sped off as soon as the rubbish was dumped. "But the dumping was recorded by a CCTV camera along the street. On checking the vehicle's registration plate, our men were able to trace the wrongdoers, who admitted to the offence. "A compound of RM1,000 was issued under the council's Garbage Collection, Removal, and Disposal By-law 2007 that mitigates illegal waste disposal issues. I was told the restaurant operator had immediately paid the fine," added Mohd Zary. Meanwhile, MBDK Environmental Services Department director Zaireezal Ahmad Zainuddin said improper disposal of coconut shells or waste by roadsides is a nuisance. "People in the Bukit Raja industrial area and other areas have raised concerns about the environmental impact, unpleasant mess and potential hazards associated with this indiscriminate dumping," he said. Zaireezal added MBDK has resorted to imposing the maximum fines on those carrying out such illegal acts "We have warned vendors selling coconut water to handle coconut shell waste properly. They have been told to pack it into bags and leave it for the rubbish truck to pick it up," he said.

Meghalaya pays farmers for carbon removal; marks milestone in India's green economy
NEW DELHI: The Meghalaya government has made a groundbreaking move by disbursing payments to farmers for their contributions to carbon sequestration through the plantation of multi-species tree-based agroforestry in biodiversity hotspots. This first payment marks a significant step toward establishing India's emerging carbon market, supporting livelihoods driven by the community. Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K. Sangma, presented cheques to farmers from the Garo Hills region. The MegCare program, officially known as the Meghalaya Carbon Agroforestry for Community Resilience and Ecosystems, was launched in collaboration with Iora Ecological Solutions (IORA) and Rabobank's Acorn platform. The program aims to promote carbon market initiatives with community involvement since 2024. The programme enabled tree-based farming practices among 10,400 farmers who planted diverse trees over 22,000 hectares. The efforts improved biodiversity, secured spring sheds, stored carbon in the soil, and expanded biomass. Farmers under MegCare receive carbon income based on the volume of carbon they remove through agroforestry. In this first round of payments, the sale price of each Carbon Removal Unit (CRU) reached EUR 40 – the highest per-tonne carbon payment ever made to farmers in India and nearly four to five times the global average.

SHR Super Hair Removal vs Traditional Laser Hair Removal: What You Need to Know
Hair removal has evolved rapidly in recent years, with groundbreaking technologies offering longer-lasting, more comfortable results. Among these innovations, SHR (Super Hair Removal) has gained attention for being safer, faster, and more effective for a wide range of skin tones. But how exactly does it differ from traditional laser hair removal? In this guide, we'll compare SHR Super Hair Removal vs Laser Hair Removal, explore their pros and cons, and help you determine which option is best for your skin and lifestyle. SHR, or Super Hair Removal, is an advanced form of laser hair removal that uses low fluence (energy) and rapid pulses to gradually heat the skin and destroy hair follicles over time. Rather than targeting the hair in a single powerful beam like traditional laser systems, SHR works by gently heating the dermis using IN-Motion™ technology, covering a larger area and reducing discomfort. How It Works: Repeated light pulses at a high frequency Targets hair follicles during the active growth phase Disrupts hair growth with less heat and pain Safe for all skin types, including darker tones This makes SHR Laser Hair Removal ideal for clients with sensitive skin or lower pain tolerance, and those who want a faster, more pleasant experience. Traditional laser hair removal systems—like Alexandrite or Diode lasers—use concentrated single-beam light to destroy hair at the follicle. This method is effective but often comes with: Higher discomfort or pain during treatment Limited suitability for darker skin types Slower treatment times, as each pulse covers a small area Higher risk of burns or post-treatment irritation While still effective for many clients, this method is more technique-sensitive and may require longer downtime or care post-treatment. Feature SHR Super Hair Removal Traditional Laser Hair Removal Pain Level Minimal, often described as warm or tingling Moderate to high; sharp rubber-band snap Skin Suitability All skin types, including tanned or darker skin More effective on fair skin with dark hair Speed Fast treatment with IN-Motion technology Slower; treats one pulse area at a time Safety Lower risk of burns and irritation Higher heat = increased skin sensitivity Sessions Needed 6–10 sessions for optimal results 6–8 sessions, depending on the area SHR is especially suited for: Clients with low pain tolerance People with darker or tanned skin tones Individuals wanting a faster, less aggressive treatment Those with sensitive skin prone to post-treatment inflammation At our trusted Cosmetic Studio, SHR is the preferred technology due to its comfort, reliability, and effectiveness across a wide range of skin and hair types. SHR is versatile and safe for nearly every part of the body, including: Face (upper lip, chin, cheeks) Underarms Arms and legs Bikini area and Brazilian Chest and back Each session is relatively quick, and with no downtime, you can resume your day immediately after. Although SHR is gentler on the skin, it's important to follow post-care guidelines for best results: Avoid sun exposure for 48 hours Keep the treated area clean and moisturized Avoid harsh skincare or exfoliants for a few days Use sunscreen daily to protect the skin With regular sessions, you'll notice a significant reduction in hair growth and smoother skin that lasts. For clients who value comfort, safety, and results, SHR Laser Hair Removal represents the next generation in aesthetic technology. Whether you've had unsatisfying experiences with waxing, shaving, or traditional lasers, SHR offers a superior solution backed by science and client satisfaction. Verde and C-Twelve Forge 10-Year Exclusive Partnership to Redefine the Roads of the Future
ST. LOUIS, May 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Verde Resources Inc. (OTCQB: VRDR) and Australian innovator C-Twelve Pty Ltd (C12) are proud to announce a landmark 10-year exclusive partnership aimed at commercializing low carbon asphalt technology across the United States. This long-term collaboration marks a pivotal step toward redefining the future of sustainable road construction, following the successful completion of their joint term sheet objectives signed in October 2024. The partnership has already delivered tangible results. Proof-of-concept trials conducted at the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) Test Track in Auburn, Alabama, in December 2024 and April 2025, validated the performance of asphalt produced without burning 95% of the fossil fuels typically required for the production of standard hot mix asphalt. This significant carbon reduction is complemented by a scalable, replicable model for engineered carbon removal. Verde's IP Model unlocks a new revenue stream through Carbon Removal Credits, offering both environmental and financial benefits, and providing companies with a pathway to offset their Scope emissions, thereby reducing costs. These trials confirmed not only the environmental benefits but also the economic viability of deploying the group's technology across all aspects of road construction and infrastructure, providing pavement durability while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As part of this partnership, Verde-C12 will share joint ownership of all solutions developed, tested, and piloted in the United States. "We're incredibly proud of what we've accomplished with C12 in just seven months," said Jack Wong, CEO of Verde Resources. "Our successful proof-of-concept is a direct reflection of the vision we set out to achieve together. With C12's groundbreaking technology and Verde's commitment to sustainable infrastructure, we're poised to deliver transformative, common-sense solutions that will redefine our roads of the future, for the benefit of both the environment and the economy." Beyond improving road durability and cutting emissions, this collaboration enables carbon sequestration at scale while maximizing impact within existing budgets. The Verde-C12 IP has created a model for engineered carbon removal that stretches infrastructure budgets further, allowing governments to do more with the same taxpayer dollar. At the same time, the generated Carbon Removal Credits offer corporations a powerful tool to meet their sustainability targets while supporting next-generation infrastructure. In a world-first achievement, Verde successfully generated the first-ever biochar-based Carbon Removal Credits from asphalt in April 2025. These credits were certified by the leading global standard for engineered carbon removal. This groundbreaking milestone, made only possible by C-Twelve's pioneering technology, represents a major leap forward in climate innovation. The credits were pre-purchased by one of the world's largest financial institutions, signaling strong market confidence in the technology's commercialization potential and its pivotal role in accelerating the global transition to Net Zero. "We're excited to take this next step with Verde and bring our years of R&D to market," said Jason Lee, CEO of C-Twelve. "This partnership affirms our shared vision and technical progress. With Verde's expertise and industry network in the U.S., we're ready to drive this innovation into widespread adoption and deliver measurable impact on both infrastructure and climate." Going green has long been viewed as a premium, but the Verde–C12 solution flips that narrative. With superior efficiency from end to end, it delivers tangible wins for the economy, meaningful savings for taxpayers, and lasting benefits for the environment.
