Colts will participate in NFL's 'Rivalries' jerseys rollout in 2026

The NFL is unveiling its 'Rivalries' jerseys in 2025, and the Indianapolis Colts will take part in the league-wide rollout during the 2026 season. According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the "Rivalries" program, as the NFL is calling it, will be similar to what we've seen in the NBA and MLB in recent seasons with the city connect jerseys. Advertisement "We decided to team up with Nike to allow fans and players to connect like never before with the Rivalries program because nothing brings communities together quite like a good rivalry," Renie Anderson, the NFL's EVP and chief revenue officer, told CBS Sports. During each of the next four seasons, two divisions each year will unveil their respective uniforms. For the 2025 season, there will be eight teams in the AFC East and the NFC West divisions. In 2026, it will be the AFC South, with the Indianapolis Colts, and the NFC North as well. The remaining divisions will follow in 2027 and 2028. Within this program, teams will have to wear their 'Rivalries' jerseys for one home game each season against a division rival. Each team can choose which game they want it to be. The program will last for three seasons, presumably so the uniforms can be worn against each divisional opponent. Advertisement Alternate uniforms and throwbacks can still be worn during those seasons as well. Bengals will eventually get new alternate jerseys via NFL announcement

Lost in the buzz of the NFL draft over the last few days is something that might interest Cincinnati Bengals fans quite a bit: The Bengals will get a special-edition jersey in the next few years. During the draft, the NFL announced that a new "Rivalries" program will begin, giving two divisions' worth of NFL teams per year alternate jerseys based on the communities around the teams, similar to what the MLB and NBA do. Advertisement NFL EVP and chief revenue officer Renie Anderson told CBS Sports the following: "The NFL is home to some of the biggest rivalries in football," Anderson said. "We decided to team up with Nike to allow fans and players to connect like never before with the Rivalries program because nothing brings communities together quite like a good rivalry. We know our fans and players are excited for games with their club's biggest rivals and wanted to make these even bigger. And we know our fans (especially our younger fans) and players get excited when their clubs wear unique and or special uniforms." But Bengals fans can keep an eye on how they start to roll out when the AFC East and NFC West get them started next season. Advertisement But there is good news for Bengals fans -- the NFL quietly also expanded the use of alternate or throwback jerseys to four times per season for each team, so Cincinnati can still throw out more White Tiger and even throwback looks than usual next season. Falcons to wear NFL 'Rivalries' uniforms during 2028 season

Falcons to wear NFL 'Rivalries' uniforms during 2028 season Atlanta to join NFL 'Rivalries' uniform series during 2028 season The NFL has made a big announcement regarding a new "uniform series" to appeal to a wide set of football fans and especially the younger generations. Similar to how the MLB wears its "City Connect" jerseys and the NBA does its version of city editions outfits, the NFL will do its own edition dubbed "Rivalries" and the Falcons will partake in this series in 2028. This "Rivalries" series will kick off this upcoming season, but only specific divisions will wear these jerseys every year. In 2025, we will see the NFC West and AFC East don these new uniforms. In 2026, the NFL will pass the torch to the AFC South and NFC North, with the NFC East and AFC West participating in 2027. It will all round out in 2028 when the Falcons and their fellow NFC South foes, along with the AFC North, utilize the new uniform series. Renie Anderson, who is the NFL Executive VP and Chief Revenue Officer, told CBS that this should allow fans to connect like never before. We decided to team up with Nike to allow fans and players to connect like never before with the Rivalries program because nothing brings communities together quite like a good rivalry. - Renie Anderson These jerseys would only be worn during home games against divisional opponents. This also means you wont see two sets of these uniforms clashing. This will be a three-year long edition, so the Falcons will have these uniforms from 2028 to the 2030 season. Teams can elect to wear them against the same opponent year after year, but it seems in the spirit of the campaign, it's designed to be worn once against each of the three rivals within the division. Perhaps by this time, the Falcons will also have a brand new standard home/away uniform set, as opposed to the current set, which the fans haven't latched on to like the team initially hoped.
