Related video: Tips for preventing house fires. PROVO, Utah () — A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for in early February. The fire impacted a Provo construction site where multiple apartment buildings were being built. Shortly after the fire, Provo Fire Captain Jeanie Atherton told that the fire sparked in one four-story building and spread to other buildings, taking down three structures in total. In addition to the damage to the buildings, the blaze also damaged power lines, causing outages throughout Provo. Each building was currently in the 'framing stage' of construction, leaving them easily flammable. The Provo Police Department launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, working alongside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for technical expertise. Anyone with information about the fire is encouraged to call ATF at 888-ATF-TIPS (283-8477) or the Provo Police Department at 801-852-6210.
