Sioux City seeking input on 2026-2029 Strategic Plan
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The city of Sioux City is seeking input on its Strategic Plan for 2026 – 2029.
In a release, the city announced that they are launching two surveys Monday morning to collect input from local businesses and residents on the strategic plan.
'These surveys will help City leadership better understand the community's priorities, guide decision-making, and set the course for the next three years,' project management specialist Jessica Johnson said. 'The data and feedback we collect will guide the City's next strategic plan and the goals of all City departments.'
The first of the surveys is the Resident Survey, which focuses on services, infrastructure, public safety, economic growth, quality of life, and individual input from residents.

The second survey is the Local Business Owner Survey, which seeks to gain input on workforce needs, economic development, and how the city can better support local businesses.
The city says participating in the surveys is important because it will help pave the city's future in areas such as economic development and job creation, infrastructure and city services improvements, public safety and community engagement, and quality of life enhancements, including parks and recreation.
You can participate in the surveys from April 7 through April 30.
