Research into the ills of vaping continues to turn up alarming information. In Singapore, those as young as 12 years old have been found with e-vaporisers on them. Some of the chemicals contained within a vape include nicotine, cancer-causing agents like formaldehyde, and metal nanoparticles such as tin, lead or nickel. Sabrina Ng takes a closer look at just how harmful the illegal habit can be, while Adjunct Assoc Prof Puah Ser Hon from the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital shared more about the health risks associated with vaping.
