Rhodes Scholarship 2026 Application Begins: Who Can Register? All You Need To Know

The Rhodes Trust has begun the application process for the Rhodes Scholarship for India 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship up till July 23 by providing the necessary documents and following the application guidelines. There is no application fee for the scholarship, and submissions must be made online. The Rhodes Scholarship covers all costs for postgraduate studies, allowing exceptional students to pursue two to three years of education at the University of Oxford, depending on their chosen academic path. Six students will be selected for the scholarship from India. 'The Rhodes Scholarship is the oldest international scholarship programme in the world, enabling outstanding young people from around the world to undertake full-time postgraduate study at the University of Oxford," states the official website. Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years old, though in some cases, candidates up to 27 years old are considered. – Birth certificate or valid passport – Indian passport or equivalent proof of Indian citizenship (PIO/OCI not accepted) – University/college transcript showing academic grades – 10th and 12th standard marksheets (or equivalent) – For applicants not currently studying in India: – Proof of at least 4 years of formal study in India in the last 10 years – Proof of completion of 10th or 12th standard in India – Recent headshot photograph in JPG format. 'The team at Rhodes House will be on hand to support you with the application process. They will have access to your entire Rhodes Scholarship application, and your references may be re-used, if appropriate, to support your application to the University of Oxford," the notice read.
