Alexandra Burke to headline Channel Islands Pride in Jersey
Pop star Alexandra Burke is set to headline the 10th anniversary of Pride in Jersey, a local LGBTQ+ organisation has Islands Pride said the event would take place on Saturday 21 June, the longest day of the year, at People's Park with a "louder, prouder, stronger" and local performers are also set to perform at the event, which alternates between Jersey and Guernsey each main stage will open at 14:00 BST following the Pride Parade, which will set off from Royal Square at 13:00. UK performers Rhumba Club, DJ Woody Cook and drag stars Mercedes Bends, Paige Three and Sophia Stardust will be in attendance alongside local drag artists, the Jersey LGBTQ+ choir and artists Shea, Kingsy and disco-funk band Brick said: "Alexandra's headline set will cap off a day of community celebration, world-class entertainment, and bold visibility for the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike."

From UK drag artists to Alexandra Burke: details for the 10th Channel Islands Pride are revealed
UK singer Alexandra Burke will headline Channel Islands Pride, it has been revealed. The chart-topping musician will be marking 10 years of Channel Islands Pride, which alternates between Jersey and Guernsey each year. For 2025, the free event will take place in St Helier on the longest day of the year (Saturday 21 June). A 'Pride Parade' will begin at 1pm from the Royal Square, leading to the Apex Main Stage at People's Park, where performances will begin at 2pm. As well as the X-Factor star, the lineup of performers includes: International DJ Woody Cook, who returns for his third consecutive year for CI Pride. Rhumba Club - an LGBTQ+ synth-pop band led by Jersey-born Tom Falle. UK and local drag artists, including Mercedes Bends, Paige Three, and Sophia Stardust. Jersey's LGBTQ+ choir and other island-grown musical artists. Christian May, Pride Director, said: "This year's theme is 'Louder. Prouder. Stronger.' and with Alexandra Burke leading the celebrations on the longest day of the year. "It's a powerful and joyful way to mark a decade of Pride in Jersey - free, inclusive and unforgettable."
