Wisconsin man arrested after vehicle pursuit ends in crash
MONONA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 36-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested early Tuesday morning after leading authorities on a vehicle chase that ended when he crashed into a stoplight.
According to the Monona Police Department, officers spotted a vehicle around 3:15 a.m. that had reportedly fled from the Wisconsin State Patrol just 15 minutes earlier.

After the vehicle stopped at a light on U.S. Highway 51, officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver sped away.
Madison police deployed a tire deflation device, but the suspect continued fleeing, eventually hitting a stoplight before driving down an embankment and through a chain-link fence into a parking lot. The driver then attempted to escape on foot but was apprehended.

Authorities identified the suspect as 36-year-old Richard Bahl. He was arrested for felony eluding, OWI (his second offense), and additional charges.
