Woman gets 15 years for production of child pornography while living in Wisconsin and Tennessee
(WFRV) – A 38-year-old woman was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for her role in producing child pornography while residing in Milwaukee and the Memphis, Tennessee, area. Richard G. Frohling, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced that Chasity Evans of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Ripley, Tennessee, will be required to register as a sex offender as part of her sentencing. Meth supplier, 2 suspected Wisconsin dealers arrested after traffic stop prompts larger investigation, seizure of 350+ grams Evans created the child pornography, distributing it to a co-defendant through a cell phone in exchange for money on Cash App. These actions occurred between February and June 2023, while she resided in Milwaukee and the Memphis area. Four Mexican nationals indicted for conspiracy to distribute several kilograms of drugs in Green Bay
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Four people illegally in the United States were indicted on Tuesday by a federal grand jury regarding a conspiracy to distribute mass amounts of cocaine and meth in Green Bay. Richard G. Frohling, the Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the indictments on Thursday, citing that three of the four had resided in Rockford, Illinois and another in Louisville, Kentucky. 22-year-old Wisconsin man sentenced to over 12 years in prison for armed robberies of postal workers The four defendants are all Mexican nationals, according to the release, each having entered the United States illegally. One of the defendants had previously been deported. The following individuals face a minimum of 10 years in prison with a potential lifetime prison sentence if convicted of the conspiracy to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine charges: 50-year-old Ruben Salgado Espinoza of Rockford Conspiracy to Distribute over 5 kilograms of Cocaine Possession with intent to distribute over 5 kilograms of Cocaine Illegal re-entry 20-year-old Pablo Sifuentes Navarro of Rockford Conspiracy to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine Possession with intent to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine Distribution of at least 500 grams of cocaine. 20-year-old Pedro Sifuentes Navarro of Louisville Conspiracy to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine Possession with intent to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine 27-year-old Sanjuana Montenegro Ochoa of Rockford Conspiracy to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine and 50 grams of methamphetamine The Drug Enforcement Administration on April 22, 2025, seized about 30 kilograms of cocaine from vehicles that were occupied by Espinoza, Pablo and Pedro in Green Bay. Former Mishicot High School teacher federally indicted on two counts of child porn, faces 19 charges in Manitowoc County The defendants allegedly expected to receive about $495,000 in cash in exchange. 22-year-old Wisconsin man sentenced to over 12 years in prison for armed robberies of postal workers
(WFRV) – A fifth person involved in multiple armed robberies of U.S. postal carriers in Wisconsin was sentenced on Thursday to 148 months in federal prison. Richard G. Frohling, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced that Huria Abu of Milwaukee was sentenced for his involvement in the robberies, which occurred between October 2022 and March 2023. UPDATE: Green Bay man pleads no contest to drug charges, sentencing set for June Abu and four co-defendants referred to themselves as the 'Scamily' while holding U.S. postal carriers at gunpoint, demanding their keys. The group then used those keys to steal mail. The four others sentenced for their roles are: 21-year-old Jessie L. Cook – 94 months in prison 24-year-old Abdi A. Two in Wisconsin charged in FBI operation against child sexual abuse, over 100 children rescued & 200 suspects arrested nationwide
(WFRV) – Two people in Wisconsin were arrested as part of the Department of Justice's Operation Restore Justice, a multi-agency effort nationwide to identify and arrest child sex predators. 205 child sexual abuse offenders were arrested and 115 children were rescued nationwide during the five-day, coordinated effort. Ongoing investigation into distribution of cocaine in Wisconsin leads to 3 search warrants, 1 arrest Operation Restore Justice was executed by 55 Federal Bureau of Investigation field offices, the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section in the Department of Justice Criminal Division and numerous United States Attorney's Offices nationwide. An official release through the Eastern District of Wisconsin's United States Attorney's Office said that two people were arrested and charged in the state during the operation. Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin Richard G. Frohling released the following statement regarding Operation Restore Justice. 'The United States Attorney's Office remains committed to working with the FBI and all federal, state, local and tribal partners to zealously prosecute individuals who produce or distribute child sexual abuse material, engage in online enticement and further child sex trafficking. Frohling, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin The following two men were arrested in Wisconsin on separate dates: April 25, 2025: 44-year-old Troy Schaden was charged with receiving, distributing and possessing child pornography, with a federal court date on May 2. A search warrant at his home was performed on March 5, 2025, and officials seized multiple devices. The release said that an investigation into the devices revealed that they contained child sexual abuse material that Schaden purchased from somebody in the United Kingdom through the app 'Telegram.' April 28, 2025: Victor Vega Rojo, a 49-year-old man, was charged with distributing and possessing child pornography, and he appeared in court on May 2. Records indicated that Vega Rojo has no legal status in the United States and is in custody with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Court records show that a search warrant at his home resulted in the seizure of multiple devices deemed by a forensic review to contain child sexual abuse material. Vega Rojo allegedly distributed the material via the BitTorrent network and possessed hundreds of images. The official release provided statements from United States Attorney General Pamela Bondi, and FBI Director Kash Patel. Statement from Attorney General Bondi: 'The Department of Justice will never stop fighting to protect victims — especially child victims — and we will not rest until we hunt down, arrest, and prosecute every child predator who preys on the most vulnerable among us. I am grateful to the FBI and their state and local partners for their incredible work in Operation Restore Justice and have directed my prosecutors not to negotiate.' Wisconsin woman arrested for alleged threats towards Waupun prison employees According to the release, the other arrests included the following: A state trooper in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who allegedly produced child sexual abuse material while in uniform A Mexican national in Norfolk, Virginia who is accused of transporting a minor across state lines for sex A former police officer in Washington D.C., who allegedly trafficked minors One of the cases included a California man who was arrested after one of the victims came forward and told FBI agents after an online presentation. Illinois man who was part of five armed robberies in Wisconsin gets 16 year prison sentence
(WFRV) – A 34-year-old man from Illinois was sentenced on Wednesday to 16 years in prison stemming from his conviction for his role in several armed robberies throughout southeast Wisconsin. Richard G. Frohling, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced the sentencing on Thursday, saying that Jamal White had robbed five businesses between May 19-21, 2023. Teacher at Kaukauna Catholic school arrested on 10 counts of possession of child pornography According to the release, White showed a gun and ordered cashiers to give him money at five commercial businesses: Speedway gas station in West Allis BP gas station in West Allis Walgreens in Milwaukee Speedway gas station in Greenfield Kwik Trip in Kenosha Chief U.S. District Judge Pamela Pepper considered that White also had a role in two uncharged robberies in northern Illinois on May 21, 2023, at a Walgreens location in Waukegan and one in Chicago. Waupun man faces multiple drug charges after traffic stop in Dodge County The release said that he was on parole with the Illinois Department of Corrections after a six-year Illinois prison sentence for armed robbery.
