Two arrested in robbery, shooting of Richland Hills teen, police say
Two men have been arrested for an aggravated robbery and shooting that critically injured one person on May 4, officials with the Richland Hills Police Department said.
Eighteen-year-olds Domorian Evans and Kenneth Urquhart have been charged with shooting a 15-year-old in the neck during a firearm sale gone wrong, according to a police statement.
Initial investigations revealed that Urquhart and Evans had agreed to meet the victim at an apartment complex in the 3800 block of Booth Calloway Road to buy the firearm, police said.
During the sale, an altercation occurred that ended with the victim being shot at multiple times as he sat inside his vehicle, according to the statement.
The victim was struck once in the neck and was able to drive away from the scene and park on a nearby residential street, police said.
A resident found the victim and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition, officials said.
Urquhart and Evans are being held in the Tarrant County Jail, according to the statement.
