I wish this Death Stranding 2 Ring Terminal replica were a real smart ring

TL;DR Kojima Productions and Anicorn have collaborated to create a 1:1 replica of the Ring Terminal from Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The Ring Terminal features NFC technology that allows users to 'forge a direct link with the immersive universe of Death Stranding 2.' The replica costs $240 and pre-orders open later today. Kojima Productions has just launched its highly anticipated title, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. If you want even more of a connection to the world of Death Stranding than simply playing the PS5 game can provide, then you may be interested in the new ring the studio made in collaboration with watchmaker Anicorn. The two companies have joined forces to create a 1:1 replica of an in-game item called the Ring Terminal. The Ring Terminal is an improved version of the Cuff Links — wearable computers issued to all members of Bridges — protagonist Sam Bridges wore in the first game. Unfortunately, this ring isn't as capable as the smart ring that appears in Death Stranding 2. Despite having a display, that display is just a printed-on visual representation. So the hardware won't function as an actual electronic display. However, it does include NFC technology that allows users to 'forge a direct link with the immersive universe of Death Stranding 2.' The company doesn't really explain what the ring actually does. Regardless, it's an impressive feat of engineering that includes over 30 distinct components. It can also adjust to different sizes, which Anicorn says it should fit sizes 3-15 for users in the US. The Terminal Ring will cost $240 when it becomes available. Fans can begin pre-ordering the replica today at 10PM ET on Anicorn's website. With that $240, you'll also get a fancy carrying case with a Bridges logo on it. Got a tip? Talk to us! Death Stranding 2 gets its own wearable, but we don't know what it does yet

In a move that couldn't be more Kojima-esque if it tried, Death Stranding 2 fans can now buy a real-world replica of the game's Ring Terminal. Made of brass and steel alloy with an adjustable band to fit most any size finger and it 'integrates NFC technology, allowing users to forge a direct link with the immersive universe of Death Stranding 2.' Just one thing: it's not entirely clear what the ring actually does. Basically, it's an incredibly well-crafted bit of memorabilia for diehard fans. The ring is a 1:1 replica of the same kind worn by Sam Porter Bridges and Fragile. Kojima contributed to its design and creation to ensure accuracy. Primarily silver in color, the ring looks that way thanks to an electroplating process designed to mimic its in-game appearance. Recommended Videos It's an impressive piece of engineering. The Ring Terminal has more than 30 distinct components, including tiny screws holding everything together. Part of this intricacy is so that it can be easily adjusted to fit fingers from 1.74 inches to 2.94 inches in diameter. Translated to US ring sizes, that's anywhere from a size 3 to a size 15. While the Ring Terminal does have a display, it's not a functional one. It's just a printed representation of what it might show were it actually in use. You probably won't be able to use it to view your real-world cargo, but that would be a neat feature. If you're interested in picking the Ring Terminal up for yourself, you can preorder it starting at 10 PM ET from the Anicorn Watches website. Fair warning, though: it's $240, but it does come in a nice Death Stranding 2-themed case. You know, just like the kind of thing Bridges and Fragile Express gives to porters after 40 years on the job. It's almost fitting that we have no idea what the Ring Terminal actually does. That's perfectly in line with Kojima himself, but we have a few guesses: It pulls the wearer into a high-stakes game, like the Kojima Squid Games. It drops you into a Signal chat with Kojima, Norman Reedus, and Mads Mikkelsen. It grants access to Kojima's real, secret Letterboxd and MyAnimeList accounts. It links to a secret Tumblr page that explains the plot of Metal Gear Solid. Honestly, the truth is anyone's guess. And if a ring alone isn't enough, the Death Stranding 2 watch is also available.

Kojima Productions and Anicorn Bring the Ring Terminal From ‘Death Stranding 2' to Life

Summary To celebrate the launch ofDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach,Kojima Productionsreunites withAnicornfor a striking new collaboration. This time, the duo brings a key in-game item into the real world: the Ring Terminal. A 1:1 replica of the device worn by characters like Sam Porter Bridges and Fragile, the Ring Terminal follows the success of its predecessor, the Cufflinks — an essential tool for Drawbridge operatives in the game's universe. Crafted from a durable brass and steel alloy, the Ring Terminal utilizes both advanced electroforming and precise 5-axis CNC machining. The result is a complex piece comprising 30 meticulously micro-engineered components. Its adjustable design thoughtfully accommodates a wide range of finger sizes, while a custom electroplated finish mirrors the in-game coloration and is designed to evolve through natural oxidation — adding a unique, lived-in character. The Ring Terminal also integrates NFC technology, allowing users to forge a symbolic connection with the immersive world ofDeath Stranding 2. While the display is non-functional and purely aesthetic, it enhances the object's narrative depth. Launching on June 26 at 10 p.m. EST, the Ring Terminal will be available exclusively through Anicorn's officialwebstorefor $240 USD.
