Risca Beach Party to transform Tredegar Park in Caerphilly
The event, scheduled for Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, will be held from 10am to 4pm in Tredegar Park, offering a host of activities for all ages. Situated off Tredegar Street in Risca town centre, the park will transform into a giant beach area complete with deckchairs and beach toys to keep visitors entertained. Regular Punch and Judy shows will also be part of the fun, along with juvenile funfair rides and a variety of other attractions. For those with a sweet tooth, a few stalls will be selling sweets, brownies, Welsh cakes, and dinky donuts. There will also be hot and cold drink refreshments, potato twisters, and an ice cream van. Visitors are encouraged to support local businesses by bringing back chips or picnic goodies to enjoy on the beach. However, organisers have warned to keep an eye on the donkeys who may be tempted to join in during feeding time. The park provides ample open space for picnics, so attendees are encouraged to bring their blankets and pitch up for the day. However, it should be noted that alcohol is not permitted at the event. Dogs are welcome to attend the Risca Beach Party, except for the beach area itself due to health and safety concerns. Organisers have advised that some dogs may become frightened by the high volume of people, which could affect their welfare and cause them to bite. Therefore, owners bringing dogs to the event do so at their own risk and liability. Tredegar Park's location means no road closures are necessary, and the town centre's traffic systems will be unaffected during the event. Access for residents and retailers to their properties will remain unaffected, and taxis and bus routes will continue as normal. For trade space and general event enquiries, people can email events@ or call 01443 866390. The Risca Beach Party promises a fun-filled weekend for the whole family, bringing a slice of the seaside to the heart of the town.
