Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark gets rare Taylor Swift comparison from Colin Cowherd: "It is not anti-Angel Reese of the WNBA"

Having missed 5 games due to her recent injury, Caitlin Clark's absence in the league had a profound impact on the WNBA. As ticket prices plummeted and the national television ratings were cut in half, this led to a tremendous fall in the history of the WNBA during the weeks of her recovery process.
Colin Cowherd, speaking on The Herd on Tuesday, along with Nick Wright, discussed Caitlin Clark's prowess and referred to her as the 'fourth-most' popular basketball player after Lebron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant.

While Caitlin Clark received numerous criticisms about her left calf injury, Colin Cowherd appealed to the WNBA to praise her, saying that it wouldn't be hard for them to do so. He further compared the Fevers' star to Taylor Swift and Beyonce, and their notable impact on the music Industry.
'It's not anti-Beyonce to say that Taylor Swift's tour changed the economy. It is not anti-Angel Reese of the WNBA to acknowledge she's the Tiger (Woods) 20 years ago on the (PGA) tour, like the ratings disappear. It's nothing against the WNBA, she literally is changing the entire league economy, and I don't think that's a knock on the league,' said Colin Cowherd.
Along with the statement made by him, Cowherd also added that he has nothing against the WNBA and their players, but a little something to lift the name of the WNBA wouldn't harm at all.
