Flo Milli Claps Back at Critics for Performance Days After Announcing Baby's Birth
Flo Milli has a bit of advice for anyone who is making negative comments about her motherhood or work ethic.
On Monday, May 5, just days after the April 25 announcement that her first child arrived, the 25-year-old 'Roc Steady' rapper used social media to address naysayers who questioned why she performed at a recent music festival.
'Flo Milli's [expletive] don't got a job? Why is she already performing? Where is her family and friends?' a commenter wrote on X.
She replied, '[Expletive] go choke on a [expletive] and die before you speak on me, my child's father or my family.'
The artist, whose real name is Tamia Monique Carter, performed at Memphis' RiverBeat Musical Festival on Saturday, May 3.
Other performers included Missy Elliott, Benson Boone, Ludacris, Steve Aoki, Busta Rhymes and more.

Additionally, Flo Milli seemingly noted that the day she revealed her son had been born was not the same day he made his entrance into the world.
'Its yall really thinking i had my baby 9 days ago,' another tweet read.
The platinum-selling rapper added, 'God forbid a girl just wanna feel like herself again and perform.'

On April 24, Flo Milli shared an Instagram post letting her followers know it was almost time for the arrival of her first child.
'yall pray for me 😭👩🏾🍼🍼,' she captioned the photo, which showed an empty maternity ward hospital bed. Machinery, an extra chair for a guest and a table helped set the scene for the special moment.
The following day the "Never Lose Me" artist shared another single Instagram photo — a close-up selfie of her holding her tiny newborn baby in just one hand as he rested on her shoulder.
Her infant wore a knitted hat and a diaper.
'& yall bett not play bout yall internet nephew 🩵,' she jokingly and affectionately wrote of her little one.
As fans congratulated the new mom, so did her industry peers such as Latto, GloRilla, Coi Leray, SZA and Halle Bailey.
