Graduating seniors take one more trip down the halls
MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — High school seniors in Lackawanna County took a walk down memory lane ahead of graduation.
The class of 2025 at Riverside Junior/Senior High School took a trip to their elementary school this morning.
Pomp and circumstance. Cap and gowns, and the graduating class of 2025. A celebratory send-off for the graduating seniors at Riverside Junior/Senior High School.
Monday, the class of 2025 walked the halls where they first learned how to read and write, Riverside East Elementary in Moosic.
'It's been real, and I was going up walking these halls, and now I gotta come back and see all my old teachers. It's just something only happens once in your life, so it's just special,' said senior Brady Pavalonis.
'It's really like you're going back, reliving all these memories, being here, you get to see our teachers, you know it's really emotional experience,' explained senior Braelyn Reed.

Elementary students gave high-fives and cheered for the upperclassmen they've looked up to.
'Reliving all the memories and seeing all my old teachers, and even the students like seeing me from football, and then knowing who I am it just, it's so surreal,' said senior John Rogers.
'I'm really excited. I'm a little nervous. You know it's like for a step into the real world, but I'm sure we'll do good,' said senior Julius Chomko.
Teachers at Riverside Elementary were elated to see their former students all grown up. Getting group photos and snapping selfies before each senior begins their next chapter.
'I'm going to Westchester University,' said Rogers.
'I will be going to Marywood to study nursing, and I'll be running there,' said Reed.
'I'm going to Penn State Main and I'm going to study Biobehavioral Health,' said Chomko.
Despite what the future has in store, each student from the class of 2025 will take a bit of Viking pride with them wherever they go.
Riverside Junior/Senior High School's graduation is Tuesday night at 6 o'clock.
