Road safety drive from today to make Nagpur accident-free

Nagpur: A road safety awareness campaign titled 'My Road, My Friend – My Road, Accident-Free Road' will be inaugurated on Monday near Shivan Gaon Phata on Wardha Road. The initiative aims to realise the vision of Union minister for road transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari, of making Nagpur an accident-free campaign will run until May 27. Its launch coincides with the birthday of traffic expert Raju Wagh, who is also the president of the Roadmark Foundation and the NGO Aghadi, Nagpur City. The concluding ceremony will coincide with the birthday of Nitin awareness drive is being jointly organised by the Roadmark Foundation, NGO Aghadi, Steelbird Helmet Family, BJP Prabhag 37, Matrushakti Cha Jagar, and several civic bodies. Nagpur: A dynamic public interaction session, hosted by Union minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari , at his Khamla office brought together citizens from Maharashtra and neighbouring regions, featuring presentations on innovative concepts, experimental ventures, and critical issues spanning agriculture, IT developments, road safety , and accessibility for persons with demonstrated their experimental projects through detailed presentations, whilst others shared developmental concepts across various domains. Gadkari provided attentive feedback to each presenter, acknowledging their innovative spirit. A delegation of differently-abled individuals presented a petition requesting enhanced access to prosthetic limbs, receiving swift administrative action from the unveiled the ' Roadmark Foundation 's' campaign poster titled 'My Road, My Friend... My Road, An Accident-Free Road'. This initiative seeks to enhance road safety and establish Nagpur as a city free from accidents. The Foundation's leader, Raju Wagh, detailed the programme, stressing the importance of public awareness and traffic rule compliance. Gadkari remarked, "Improving road quality in Nagpur and Vidarbha is crucial, but citizens must follow traffic regulations diligently.
