Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe put on notice before Roast of WrestleMania

LAS VEGAS – Paul Heyman will be among the guests to partake in the Roast of WrestleMania on Sunday night at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Sunday night, following the second night of the premier event in pro wrestling. Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, the leader of "Kill Tony," will bring together comedians and WWE stars, including Heyman, Sami Zayn, The Miz and Braun Strowman, for a night of comedy following what is set to be an epic WrestleMania weekend. Heyman told Fox News Digital he didn't know what to expect but had a warning for the roasters – he can bring it. "That does not bode well for Tony Hinchcliffe and his gaggle of comedians that will be up there on the stage," he said. "I understand that I am the master of the mic in WWE and since everyone loves a shootout at the OK Corral. If someone is looking to build a reputation, I'm the guy they want to build a reputation on." Heyman compared it to WWE in the late 1990s and early 2000s and challenging Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar, who may have been stars in sports entertainment but were legit wrestlers. Angle won an Olympic gold medal in 1996 and Lesnar was an NCAA champion who later became a UFC star. Nobody was going to take either of them down, Heyman said. "So, the joke was, 'Go ahead and try.' And there was always somebody (who thought), 'Hmm,' for a moment, was tempted, until intelligence got the better of them. "Who knows with these comedians. There may be one of them that sits there and decides, let me test what Paul Heyman can do in our venue, on our stage, in our house with our audience. And, if and when that happens, they're gonna learn that my mic skills are not just limited to WWE/pro wrestling/sports entertainment." The roast will be at the BleauLive Theater at 10 p.m. PT. Big E Reacts To Tony Hinchcliffe Joking About His Neck Injury

Photo Credit: Getty Images Big E doesn't seem too bothered by a comedian making his neck injury the subject of his jokes. Tony Hinchliffe was a special guest commentator during Monday's episode of WWE RAW. The controversial comedian was on the show to promote his show on Netflix, as well as his Roast of WrestleMania live event in Las Vegas. During the show, Hinchcliffe was joking about Michael Cole's age and said, 'The only thing stiffer than Michael Cole is Big E's neck.' This, of course, was a reference to Big E breaking his neck in the ring, which put his in-ring career on hiatus. He knows discourse will always be there, but that doesn't mean he has to be part of it. Big E reacts to Tony Hinchcliffe's joke at his expense 'Look, I appreciate that. I guess at my big age of 39 years old, people will say what they want to say about you. It's not — their opinion of you has nothing to do with me. It's not my business,' Big E said. 'Say what you want — he was given a mic, he was given an opportunity and people will feel how they want to. It's just that there's a lot of discourse. Often times, as a public figure, people will say a lot of different things about you, whether they are jokes, whether they are not and that is their right.' Big E knows he was mentioned and is 'supposed to' have an opinion on it. However, he believes it's tiring having to weigh in on every remark. Advertisement 'I'm not hurt. I'm good,' he continued. 'I want the discourse to be had without me. I didn't sign up for this, he did what he wanted to and people signed off on it. It has nothing to do with me, truly.' The Roast of WrestleMania Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe & Friends will take place on Sunday, April 20 at 10 pm PT. Catch up on everything that went down on WWE RAW here.
