Dundonald will be 'immaculate' for Women's Scottish Open says course guru with Nella Korda looking to steal the show
The Ayrshire venue is gearing up for a huge summer of action
Course guru Rob Wooddisse has vowed to have Dundonald immaculate for the arrival of Nella Korda and the elite of women's golf.
The World No.1 is the star attraction amongst another stellar field for next month's ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open.
Korda will make her debut in the event with Solheim Cup colleague and defending champion Lauren Coughlin also booked for the dates.
Dundonald Links is staging for the fourth successive year and Wooddisse, golf course superintendent, is adamant his team are intent on having it perfect as he said: 'The team are hard at work to ensure that the course is in immaculate condition ahead of the tournament.
'We have been very proud to receive great feedback from players and caddies in previous years, so the bar has been set high, but we're excited by the challenge.'
David Ross Nicol, director of golf at Dundonald Links, said: 'This is now the fourth year in a row that excitement has really started to build around the club as we begin preparations for the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open.
'Of course it's a huge responsibility for everyone here at Dundonald, but it's such a privilege to watch the world's best battle it out on our course.
'We can't wait for the action to get underway.'
Also this summer, Dundonald will play host to Open Championship final qualifying for the third year in a row with big names are expected in the field aiming to grab a last chance to earn a spot at the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
Korda is a huge draw for the women's event and commented, 'Playing in Scotland always feels extra special with it being the home of golf and with all the amazing Scottish golf fans, so I am really looking forward to making my debut in July.'
