SOTA teacher in America's favorite teacher semis
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester School of the Arts science teacher, Robert Arrendell is in the semi-finals of Reader's Digest's 'America's Favorite Teacher' competition.
The winner would get $25,000 a feature in Reader's Digest, a trip to Hawaii and a school visit from Bill Nye the Science Guy.
When asked what he would do with the money, Arrendell said he plans to create scholarships for students entering a higher education and trade school, buy classroom science needs and materials, subsidize for field trips and guest speakers and fund curriculum-based community outreach opportunities for his students.
