LaGrange Police: Arrest made in domestic dispute at hotel near Whitesville Street

LAGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — A woman was arrested by LaGrange Police following a domestic dispute that happened at a hotel in the city. According to the LaGrange Police Department, officers arrived to the Stay Lodge in the 1600 block of Whitesville Street around 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, in reference to the domestic dispute. Upon arrival, police determined Olympia Laster, 43, threw a pot of hot chicken grease on her boyfriend, Robert Herron, 46, as he sat in a nearby chair. Police say Herron sustained severe burns to the back of his head, neck, back, and shoulders. He was taken to an Atlanta area hospital capable of burn treatment. Laster was located nearby and taken into custody, according to police. LaGrange's criminal investigation division was contacted to continue the investigation. The LaGrange Police Department says the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Master Detective Blane at 706-883-2623.
