Police: Man falsely imprisoned couple at West Mead home

WEST MEAD TOWNSHIP — A Meadville-area man has been charged by Pennsylvania State Police for allegedly not allowing two people to leave a West Mead Township home Thursday morning. Robert S. Snow, 37, was arraigned Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Samuel Pendolino on a misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment and a summary count of harassment. Police allege Snow kept the two people — a man and a woman who is a relative of Snow's — from leaving the home in the 20000 block of Route 322 around 10:30. Snow locked the doors of the home and told the man and woman that they weren't allowed to leave, all the while using his body to block the door, according to the criminal complaint filed by police. Snow also pushed the man when the man made three attempts to exit the home through different doors, the complaint said. Following arraignment late Thursday afternoon, Snow was placed in the Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $7,500 bond. He faces a preliminary hearing on the charges March 20.
