A ROMANIAN man has been remanded in custody charged with smuggling two men through Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford. The truck driver was arrested by gardai in Wexford after cops and customs officials found two men hiding in a truck at Rosslare Europort on Friday morning. INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED Gardai launched an investigation after the discovery of the men concealed in the truck at 8am on Friday morning at the port. Gardai, along with Customs and Revenue officials, located the two males during an immigration check. Advertisement Both men were assessed by medical personnel. It is understood the two males are currently in a provision centre in Citywest, All circumstances of the incident are being investigated by Gardai attached to Wexford Garda Station, supported by the Garda National Immigration Bureau. Investigating officers have appealed to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to come forward.
