(AP) — Athletics manager Mark Kotsay and third baseman Miguel Andujar were ejected from Sunday's game against Philadelphia in the seventh inning for arguing with plate umpire Roberto Ortiz. The A's, on an 11-game losing streak, took a 3-0 lead in the first inning but were tied 3-3 at the time of the ejections. Advertisement Kotsay said something from the dugout after the first pitch from Jesús Luzardo to Andujar, a sweeper near the bottom of the strike zone, was called a strike despite appearing to be outside. Kotsay came out of the dugout to continue the argument and motioned with an arm at Ortiz following his 15th career ejection, the first for the A's this season. Kotsay when had to make the long walk down the warning track along the third-base side to the clubhouse behind the left-field wall at Sutter Health Park, the team's temporary home for at 2025-28. Man arrested after found unconscious behind wheel

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 51-year-old man is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated after he was found unconscious behind the wheel early Monday morning, March 24, Horizon City Police said. Horizon Police said they arrested Roberto Ortiz, 51. He was taken to El Paso County Jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated third time or more and booked with a bond of $50,000. At about 2:35 a.m. Monday, officers from the Horizon City Police Department responded to a report of a driver asleep behind the wheel at 500 Darrington. Officers found the vehicle and suspect, who was later identified as Ortiz. During the investigation, police said Ortiz showed signs of intoxication and was subsequently arrested. Horizon City Assistant Chief Jose Kluge said: 'Our Police Department have increased their enforcement efforts during the St Patrick's Day and Spring Break session. Driving while intoxicated is a serious offense which places our community in danger. Two arrested atop Sidney Lanier Bridge after Glynn County police chase RV pulling a camper

Glynn County police arrested two people late Thursday after officers chased an RV pulling a camper. The chase originated in McIntosh County where deputies there started chasing the RV, according to a Glynn County police news release. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< Glynn County was notified by McIntosh authorities at about 11:17 p.m. that the RV was headed southbound on Interstate 95. 'A GCPD officer successfully deployed stop sticks at Exit 36, deflating the RV's tires, but the vehicle continued southbound,' the news release states. 'A second GCPD officer deployed additional stop sticks at Exit 29, further damaging the RV's tires.' While driving on its rims, the RV exited I 95 at Exit 29, heading westbound before making a U-turn near Travel Centers of America and continuing eastbound on Highway 17, the news release states. Arrested were Roberto Ortiz, the driver, and Shaina Boucle, the passenger. Investigators learned that the RV was reported stolen from a dealership in West Virginia and the camper was reported stolen from a dealership in Virginia, the news release states.
