Daphne Mayor Robin LeJeune to run for re-election
DAPHNE, Ala. (WKRG) — Daphne Mayor Robin LeJeune has announced he will run for re-election.

During LeJeune's first term in office, the Jubilee City has seen several improvements, including finishing major infrastructure projects, improving public safety, expanding economic development and expanded recreational opportunities, a news release said.
According to the release, LeJeune's administration secured more than $20 million in federal and state grant funds to help pay for the aforementioned projects.
'When I took office in 2020, my goal was clear — to continue to work to make Daphne an exceptional community where residents, businesses and families can truly thrive,' LeJeune said. 'By listening to our citizens and working closely together, we've made meaningful progress in enhancing the quality of life throughout our city, and I'm excited about continuing that momentum.

Before being elected mayor, LeJeune served on the city council for eight years, serving one of those years as city council president. He has also owned the Market by the Bay restaurant for nearly two decades.
