SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Chef Niema DiGrazia, winner of Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay, is set to cook at this year's Fancy Feast benefiting Robinson's Rescue. According to Shreveport's Spay/Neuter clinic, the five-course dinner will be held at the Robinson Film Center during the Louisiana premiere of the Cat Film Festival. 'This unforgettable evening will feature a formal, five-course dinner crafted by award-winning Chef Niema DiGrazia, expertly paired with a signature cocktail and served in an intimate setting alongside fellow feline lovers,' says the CEO and Medical Director of Robinson's Rescue, Andrea Master-Everson, DVM. 'Events like this allow us to show our appreciation to you, while still raising funds to support Robinson's Rescue. Your support is integral to our success, and your purchase of a ticket goes directly to our daily operational expenses, helping us continue to save lives through prevention. We are proud to say, in the first five months of 2025 alone, Robinson's Rescue has spayed and neutered over 1,400 cats, and with your contribution, we can continue our mission to reduce animal overpopulation in our community, keeping cats out of shelters and off the streets.' According to a press release from Robinson's Rescue, Tuesday, February 25, marks World Spay Day, an annual event established in 1995 to raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and prevent animal suffering. Fall in puppy love with our pet of the week Officials say this year, Robinson's Rescue is celebrating a monumental milestone of 100,000 spay and neuter surgeries! Robinson's Rescue was founded 16 years ago and became Louisiana's first nonprofit, high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter clinic, dedicated to ending the cycle of unwanted litters and unnecessary euthanasia. Community members are invited to honor this incredible achievement with a special celebration at the Andress Artist & Entrepreneur Center located at 717 Crockett St. on Tuesday. SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The next Voucher Day at Robinson's Rescue is upon us! According to a press release, the next SSNIP (Subsidized Spay Neuter Incentive Program) Voucher Day on Wednesday, February 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the clinic, located at 2515 Line Ave. More local news The program is a free life-saving initiative that provides spay and neuter surgeries and rabies vaccinations to pets owned by qualifying residents of Caddo and Bossier parishes. A spokesperson with Robison's Rescue says to be eligible, pet owners must earn $2,100 or less per month as an individual or $3,100 or less per month as a married couple. Participants must bring a valid ID and a copy of proof of income that will be kept on file. No appointment is needed, just stop by during event hours. By spaying and neutering pets, Robinson's Rescue is working to reduce the number of homeless animals in the community and prevent unnecessary euthanasia. For more information, visit the website.
