Rochester Lilac Festival Final Weekend: Lilac Run and more!
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — We're kicking off the final weekend of the Rochester Lilac Festival, and there are tons to do as this year's event comes to a close. News 8 has been covering all of the events happening across this year's Lilac Festival. For the final weekend, it's going to be busy with live music, the annual Lilac Run, and much more! Here's what you can expect this weekend: If you missed Art in the Park and Small Business Circle, it's back one last time this weekend. Guests can check out local artists or meet local business owners. Both events are located up the hill from the festival grounds. On Saturday, it will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Sunday, it will end an hour earlier. Stop by the News 8 tent this morning and say hi to Adam Chodak, Brennan Somers, and Oran Spitzer! 12 p.m. – RocStar Academy 2:30 p.m. – Maddy Walsh & The Blind Spots (Rock) 4 p.m. – Flying Object (Psychedelic rock 'n' roll) 5:30 p.m. – Public Water Supply (Alternative rock, indie Americana) 7 p.m. – The Dirty Dozen Brass Band (New Orleans jazz, bebop, funk) The 46th annual Lilac Run 5K, 10K and the new Timbits Trot will take place this morning at Highland Park. Those looking to participate in these races can choose to run or walk in person or virtually! The 5K kicks off at 8 a.m., the 10K will follow at 9:30 a.m., and the Timbits Trot will be at 11:30 a.m. Registration can be found here. Party in the Park 2025 Lineup Announced
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester Events announced their official lineup for the 2025 Party in the Park concert series Wednesday. The series occurs each Thursday of the season and features performances by local artists and bands at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Genres include funk, blues, rock, classic rock, and reggae for music lovers across the Rochester area to enjoy. Little Lynch Series honors iconic late filmmaker David Lynch The concerts take place Thursday, July 10, through Thursday, August 14 with two shows featured each day. The schedule is as follows: Doors for each event open at 5 p.m. with the show expected to begin at 6:30 p.m. July 10 The Seven Wonders: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac Highway Boys: A Zach Bryan Tribute Band July 17 Cruel Summer: A Live Tribute to Taylor Swift BB Dang July 24 Melvin Seals & JGB Dogs in a Pile July 31 Ripe Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime August 7 Andy Frasco & The U.N. Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs August 14 Eddie 9Volt To be announced A special guest performer for August 14 will be announced on May 26 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available online for $7 with free entry provided for children 12 years old and younger. VIP packages are also available for $35. Tickets can be purchased at the Rochester Events website, the RBTL box office at 885 East Main Street, or the gate if tickets are still available on the day of the show.
