Rochester Financial Center marks 5 years of free financial counseling
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester Mayor Malik Evans and other city leaders met at City Hall Monday to mark the impact the Rochester Financial Empowerment Center has had on thousands of residents.
The center offers free one-on-one financial counseling, focusing on reducing debt, increasing credit, and improving savings.
The Center's Director was given a certificate of mayoral recognition, celebrating FEC's fifth anniversary.
'I'm all about empowering Black and brown communities, building financial and generational wealth… so it feels amazing to be giving back to the community that gave back to me first,' Financial Empowerment Center Briana Watson said.
