Three teens suspected of starting the wildfire at Table Rock State Park arrested, charged
South Carolina Forestry Commission agents arrested three teens Tuesday suspected of setting the fire at Table Rock State Park.
According to Pickens County jail documents, Isaac David Wilson and Nyzaire Jah-Neiz Mars, 19, both of Taylors, and Tristan William Tyler, of Greenville, were charged with arson and negligently allowing a fire to spread to the lands of another. The teens were taken to the Pickens County Detention Center.
The Pickens County Sheriff's Office said the teens caused the fire at Table Rock State Park on March 21. A day later, the fire spread to Persimmon Ridge in Greenville County. The Forestry Commission enacted a burn ban on March 20.
Data from the South Carolina Forestry Commission shows the Table Rock Complex Fire has encompassed over 12,500 acres, making it the largest mountain wildfire in South Carolina history.

The Table Rock fire grew to 13,287 acres, with 12,652 acres burned in South Carolina and 635 acres burned in North Carolina, according to the Forestry Commission. On Tuesday, crews contained 30% of the Table Rock blaze. The Persimmon Ridge fire grew to 2,078 acres with 74% containment.
All three teens posted $7,500 bonds and were released.
