String of businesses on famed Sunset Strip closing for good
Once-thriving businesses on the famed Sunset Strip are shuttering one-by-one.
Since February, at least five businesses along the strip have announced they will be closing, one of which being the beloved Le Petit Four restaurant.
In an Instagram post, the restaurant, which has been open since 1981, stated that rising costs and a decline in foot traffic made the decision to shut down permanently 'unavoidable.'

On Tuesday, another restaurant – The Den on Sunset – informed customers that they too would be closing their doors for good.
Located down the street from Le Petit Four, The Den is also closing at the end of March. Their social media post did not indicate why the restaurant, which has been open at the location for 16 years, was shutting down.
Rock and Reilly's Irish pub abruptly shut down earlier this month right before St. Patrick's Day. Their Sunset Strip location, just two doors down from the famous Whisky A Go Go in the heart of West Hollywood, had been open for nearly a decade and a half.

The restaurant's Yelp page lists them as permanently closed, but an official announcement regarding the closure, including a reason why, has not been made as of Wednesday.
Rock and Reilly's three other L.A. locations remain open.
A newer Sunset Strip establishment, Hudson House, also recently closed their doors for good.
A note left on the restaurant's door states that the restaurant, which opened in Jan. 2022, shut down on Mar. 19, according to the WeHo Times.
No reason for the closure was mentioned by Hudson House's owners, Vandelay Hospitality Group.
It's not just restaurants that are shuttering, as Sunset Strip Liquor Store is also closing. The store, which replaced the historic Sun Bee Liquor Market in 2020, is expected to be open until roughly the end of March.

Citing an anonymous source, the WeHo Times reported that the closure is due to a rent increase.
Items inside the store are currently on sale; an Instagram post by the liquor store requests that customers hurry before workers start drinking the inventory themselves.
