Lakeview wins second D10 title in school history
SLIPPERY ROCK, PA. (WKBN) – Lakeview topped Rocky Grove 72-52 in the District 10 Class 2A Championship game on Friday at Slippery Rock University. It is the Sailors' second District 10 title in school history and the first since 2020. Lucas Fagley led the way with 25 points in the win for the Sailors. Parker Montgomery added 16 points, while Evan Resier scored 10, all of which came in the fourth quarter. Rocky Grove was led by Noah Baughman who piled up 19 points. Connor Ritchey finished with 11, while Landon Carter chipped in with 10 points in the setback. Sharpsville falls in the Class 2A Quarterfinals
MEADVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) – Rocky Grove topped Sharpsville 60-39 in the PIAA boys basketball Class 2A Quarterfinals on Friday night at Meadville High School. Graham Pernesky led the Blue Devils with 11 points on the night. Aiden Cadman finished with 9, while Haidyn McFeaters chipped in with 8 points in the setback. The Blue Devils finish the season with an overall record of 12-12. With the win, Rocky Grove advances to face Eisenhower in the PIAA Class 2A Semifinals on Tuesday. The game site is to be announced.
