Rodd Christensen, the actor behind fan-favourite Spencer, looks just as youthful in rare snaps. The US actor, originally from Las Vegas, appears to be ageing backwards 20 years on, though now sports a beard. After Balamory ended, Rodd remained with the BBC and presented a series called 'Talkie Time' on CBeebies. He also hosted his own show titled Counting With Rodd that aimed to teach children about maths and numbers. Rodd, now 57, quit fame and was briefly a bus driver for Stagecoach before returning to Las Vegas. Though he shunned the limelight, his daughter made headlines when it was revealed she was a porn star. Raylin Joy, who lives in LA, said she got into porn "for the giggles". Following the announcement on the return of Balamory Rod told BBC Scotland's Lunchtime Live the news was "very exciting". "If they ask me to go back then I'll absolutely be there with bells on, I'm sure," he said. "But at the moment we're all just getting excited at the fact that it's happening. "I don't think it would be same if we weren't involved in it," he added.

Warrensburg man charged after attempting to share child pornography

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 19-year-old from Warrensburg is being charged with possessing child pornography following a tip from a national organization. Michael Dale Rodd, 19, faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted on the charges of possession and promotion of child pornography. His arrest on Wednesday came more than a month after detectives got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Kansas City police investigating homicide near Armour The tip regarded child sexual abuse material that was uploaded to Dropbox by 'an unknown party within the city limits of Warrensburg, Missouri.' Court documents say the owner of that Dropbox account was listed as Michael Dale Rodd. The account was accessed on December 9, 2024, where one child pornographic video was uploaded before Dropbox shut it down. An investigation revealed that the IP address associated with the upload came back to Warrensburg and that the verification email attached to the Dropbox account was Rodd's. The investigation further showed that in 2023, an account with Rodd's email had tried to send child sexual abuse material via Twitter. Detectives learned that the 19-year-old lived within the Warrensburg city limits and had prior interactions with police. Detectives served a search warrant to Google for Rodd's email address and Dropbox. They ultimately learned the pornographic video was the only thing uploaded, and that Rodd had tried to share it twice before the account was shut down. Nothing else had ever been uploaded, per court documents. Rodd spoke with detectives on Wednesday, where court documents say he initially denied knowing anything about the Dropbox account. He eventually admitted to owning both the Gmail and Dropbox accounts and described the pornographic video that was uploaded. According to court documents, Rodd told police he was trying to sell the video 'because he needed money.' Detectives asked where the child sexual abuse material came from, to which Rodd said people would send it to him via 'Instagram and Mega.' Kansas City metro responds to damaging high winds, severe weather Rodd told police 'he needed money due to him being in debt from a car crash in 2023 and had heard selling child sexual abuse material would make him a lot of money,' according to those documents. The 19-year-old was previously convicted of careless driving in 2023 and put on a two-year probation. He's currently in the Johnson County jail with a $50,000 bond. Court records did not state when his next court appearance will happen. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
