ONE Championship: Rodtang hints fight with Haggerty on under ‘any rules'
Rodtang Jitmuangnon has hinted he is ready to complete a historic trilogy with Jonathan Haggerty in a recent Instagram post. Advertisement Amid speculation of a third fight between the pair, the Thai fighter wrote on his social media page that he would be willing to meet the Briton under 'any rules'. Rodtang also suggested he has his sights on two more super fights before potentially calling time on his career. 'I believe there are three fights that people want to see me in just as much as I do,' the 27-year-old wrote. 'These would be the biggest fights of my life right now – and maybe ever in my entire fighting career.' The post suggested Rodtang was keen to face Haggerty for a third time, despite having beaten him twice already. He won the first meeting via a unanimous decision in 2019 before earning a third-round TKO the following year.

ONE Championship: Haggerty won't fight Rodtang at flyweight – ‘my turn now'
Jonathan Haggerty said a potential third meeting with Rodtang Jitmuangnon would only take place on his terms. Advertisement The two have met twice previously at flyweight Muay Thai and then kickboxing with the Thai fighter winning on both occasions – the second of which was in 2020. Rodtang's stunning first-round knockout victory over Japanese kickboxing icon Takeru Segawa at ONE 173 saw ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirm discussion on a third with Haggerty were under way. However, should that bout happen, the Englishman said it will not be at flyweight. 'I'm not going back down,' Haggerty told the Post. 'If Rodtang wants it, he's got to come up to bantamweight. And it's got to be in Muay Thai. I need to use my full skill set.' Haggerty is no longer competing at flyweight and is firmly entrenched in the bantamweight division, where he is the reigning ONE Kickboxing world champion.

ONE Championship: Rodtang stuns Takeru with sensational first-round knockout at ONE 172
Rodtang Jitmuangnon scored a stunning first-round knockout against Takeru Segawa at ONE 172 on Sunday, ending the highly anticipated clash in just one minute, 20 seconds. Advertisement In the build up to the fight, Japanese kickboxing star Takeru said beating 'The Iron Man' at the Saitama Super Arena in his homeland would mean he had 'achieved everything' in his career but the fight did not go as he had planned. Rodtang, meanwhile, reacted to heavy criticism for missing weight in his last fight by enlisting the help of renowned combat sports nutritionist Peter Miller for his bout with Takeru – and the results were stark. After planting a right low kick, Rodtang unleashed a savage left hook-straight combo, then repeated the trick before firing another monster left hook that connected with Takeru's chin. 'The Natural Born Crusher' was sent tumbling to the canvas, unable to beat the count. Rodtang Jitmuangnon (left) consoles opponent Takeru Segawa after their fight. 'It told me I had to work harder, wake up in the morning, train hard, and do everything I could to get my belt back.
