Man charged in connection to bomb threat made at Dollar General in Henry County
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Henry County Sheriff's Office reports an arrest connected to a bomb threat investigation after an incident at a local business in Henry County on February 7.
The sheriff said deputies responded to the Dollar General on Greensboro Road around 8 p.m. on Sunday after an alleged bomb threat. On the scene, law enforcement secured the area and conducted a search with the assistance of an explosive K-9 unit.
No devices or threats were found, and the situation was cleared. The store has returned to normal operations and there is no threat, according to the sheriff.

During the investigation, 52-year-old Roger Amos Jr. was identified as allegedly being connected to the threat. Amos was found on Rives Road near the store and taken into custody without incident, the sheriff said.
Roger Amos Jr. has been charged with the following:
Threats to bomb (Violation of Virginia Code Section: 18.2-83)
He is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center on a $4,500.00 secured bond.
In addition to the incident on Sunday, there was a separate bomb threat reported at the same location around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 7. It is not clear if the two incidents are connected.
