Best Kerry beaches to visit as temperatures continue to rise

Ballybunion Beach (North and South): These beaches offer stunning views of the Shannon estuary and are perfect for walking, swimming, surfing and a host of other water sports. Ballybunion' beaches are surrounded by rocky headlands, caves and high cliffs that take in designated natural heritage areas and sand dune system. Ceann Trá (Ventry): Just four miles from Dingle, this majestic shoreline is in pristine condition and hugely popular with tourists who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Dingle for a few hours. Ventry Strand is conveniently close to the aforementioned Dingle and the beach is also a popular stop off on route to Slea Head. This quaint shoreline doesn't disappoint. Inch: This is one Inch where you can certainly take more than a mile. Inch Beach is one of the most scenic and popular beaches in Kerry spanning some 5km. It's popular for surfing, kayaking, walking, and all water sports. Shore fishing is another popular pursuit at Inch. Although Inch Beach is constantly busy, it's roomy enough to enjoy and this shouldn't put you off. White Strand: Offering beautiful views of Valentia Island and Begnis Island, this beach is a well-kept, unspoilt location that gives one the impression it has just been discovered. A lovely beach for a swim and a stroll, White Strand is part of the scenic landscape that incorporates Valentia Harbour and Portmagee Channel. It is a Special Area of Conservation with the stunning sites of the Iveragh Peninsula. Ballinskelligs: This is one of Kerry's most scenic locations with long sandy beaches offering a timeless feel. Often described as one of south Kerry's best kept secrets, Ballinskelligs Beach is roughly 1km in length and is pure bliss. The beauty of the beach is matched only by the rich heritage in the locality. Ballyheigue: Ballyheigue's extensive sandy beach is located within a designated Special Area of Conservation. A popular beach for Irish tourists, especially in the month of August. This beach is first class with a friendly village to match. It's used year-round by locals, and has a lovely holiday vibe atmosphere in summer. Banna: A popular choice for walkers given its close proximity to Tralee, Banna is a gem of a beach. Its clean shoreline at low tide offers ample space for people to walk and jog, which explains its popularity among fitness enthusiasts. The beach and its surrounding locality is famous for its links with the Irish patriot Roger Casement who came ashore in 1916.
