Boston College was just 7-for-26 from the floor in the first half, including 2-for-11 from 3-point range, and committed 11 turnovers. Stanford (18-10, 10-7) was 14 for 26 in the opening 20 minutes.
The closest the Eagles could get in the second half was 14 (74-60).
Chad Venning had a team-high 13 points for Boston College (12-16, 4-13) and Roger McFarlane added 11. Both players were scoreless in the first half and Venning committed four turnovers.
Two days after being named ACC Player of the Week for the third time this season, Donald Hand Jr. was limited to 6 points on 2 of 10 shooting.
The Eagles remain in the Bay Area for a Saturday night contest against California. A loss would eliminate BC from a spot in Charlotte.
