Roger Zaccar: Half of Lebanese Citizens Lack Health Insurance… The Private Sector Offers Dignified Solutions
In an interview on the TV program 'Sar El Waet', Chairman of Comin Insurance, Mr. Roger Zaccar, stressed the importance of comprehensive health insurance as an essential plan for every Lebanese citizen, especially in light of the severe economic crises that have weighed heavily on the Lebanese society. Zaccar highlighted that nearly half of the Lebanese population currently lacks any form of health coverage, leaving many vulnerable to humiliation at hospital doors—particularly after the economic collapse reduced people's ability to afford insurance. According to him, this is where the role of the private sector becomes crucial, as it provides broad facilities including installment plans of up to 9 months, ensuring dignity for individuals and their families when facing medical emergencies. In the course of his remarks, Zaccar pointed out that the private sector has remained resilient throughout wars and financial crises, adding that his company, Comin, continues to offer flexible and comprehensive insurance services tailored to all social groups, in alignment with current needs and the realities of Lebanese citizens. USJ Business Students Gain Real-World Experience through Comin Academy at the Beauty and Wellbeing Forum
By Editor_wr Last updated May 7, 2025 As part of Comin Academy's internship and training initiative, students from the Faculty of Business and Management at Université Saint-Joseph (USJ) took part in a hands-on learning experience at the Beauty and Wellbeing Forum throughout the month of April. The program offered students an immersive opportunity to engage directly with the public, step beyond the academic setting, and put their theoretical knowledge into practice. By joining Comin's team on the ground, these future professionals were able to explain the benefits of insurance services, answer visitors' questions, and interact with clients in a dynamic, real-time environment. More than just an internship, this experience enhanced the students' communication skills, marketing know-how, and understanding of body language — key tools in both the insurance sector and the broader business world. Roger Zaccar, CEO of Comin, expressed his pride in the students' involvement, stating: 'It fills me with pride to see these young minds step up with such energy, curiosity, and professionalism. At Comin, we believe in opening doors for the next generation — and watching them thrive in real-life settings like this one proves the power of investing in youth and education.' Comin Academy remains committed to fostering practical learning experiences that bridge the gap between education and the workforce, empowering the next generation of industry leaders.
