Elderly man's sweet nail-painting gesture for wife during train ride goes viral: ‘This kind of love is rare'

From sharing a quiet cup of tea to reminding each other about medications, growing old in love in real life holds a depth that goes far beyond the dramatic romances often seen in movies. A video of an elderly couple sharing an adorable moment on a moving train is winning hearts on social media. The viral video, shared by Instagram user Rohan R Tamhane, shows a heartwarming moment an elderly man is patiently applying nail polish for his wife. As she gently guides him and holds the nail paint bottle, the man follows her instructions, and carefully paints each nail with red colour. 'In a world rushing by, they sat still—he painting her nails, she is smiling like it's the first time he touched her hand. Love like this doesn't age, it deepens,' the caption read. A user who turned out to be the daughter-in-law of the couple wrote, 'So sweet, thanku so much for capturing this special moment. They are my in-laws and they are going to attend a family wedding, to Lonavala.' Another user commented, 'A true king raised by a queen and married a princess. Soulmates for many lifetimes.' A third user reacted, 'I can feel a special bond and love between them and really its rare may be 1/100 ..making me so emotional.' In March, a video of an elderly couple, who eloped in their youth, getting married in a traditional ceremony melted hearts on social media. Harshad, a Jain boy, and Mrudu, a Brahmin girl, first crossed paths in school during the 1960s. However, when Mrudu's family strongly objected to their relationship, the young couple made a bold decision. They eloped, leaving behind a message with a friend for her family, 'I am not coming back.'
