Arnold senior turns passion into profit

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – Arnold senior, Roman Howell turns passion into profit by creating a sports trading business. Roman Howell, a former Arnold High School basketball standout and captain, founded Front Beach Bros, an online company dedicated to buying and trading sports cards. In just the past four to five months, the business has surpassed 9,000 in pieces of product inventory. This milestone marks a significant achievement for Howell, who, at 18, is already establishing himself as an entrepreneur. After completing his senior season, Howell fully immersed himself in the world of business, transforming a childhood hobby into a potential career. 'I remember seeing that sale for the first time, and I'm like, 'Wait a minute. This is fun,'' Howell said. 'So I kept doing it. I sold a few more cards from my collection, and then my dad suggested, 'Let's go on eBay and buy some more cards.'' Starting at just 14 years old, Howell experimented with buying and trading sports cards, learning through both successes and setbacks. 'I started learning, basically losing money and making money, and how to adjust to that,' he said. Over time, his expertise grew, and he began seeing consistent profits. Since launching Front Beach Bros, Howell has honed his ability to identify fan-favorite cards, including one particularly rare item: a Jason Tatum signed card, one of only a few in existence. This card, graded 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10, is nearly flawless and highly sought after by collectors. While Front Beach Bros does not have a physical storefront, the business has experienced significant growth. Howell is optimistic about the future, with projections indicating that Instagram platform dedicated to the business, which currently holds nearly 10K followers could reach 20,000 within the next month. 'The goal is 80,000, which I think we should easily hit,' he said. With continued growth on the horizon, Howell's entrepreneurial journey is just beginning. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
